a short prayer for the people of Japan.

Now that I have seen the videos of what happened in Japan I feel guilty for having such a great weekend. Why all the earthquakes recently?  What is going on? Oh Lord my prayers go up to you for the people of Japan and  New Zealand and...and...and. We need you right now Lord.

  2. I pray for those I know and those I will never know. And it doesn't seem enough. There is a greater lesson here for all of us, I believe . . . Life is precious and fragile and our world can change in an instant.
We want the best for each other but I don't think that one should feel guilty for having happiness when another struggles, nor should one feel angry for having struggles when others are happy. God teaches us balance and to have faith in his greater plans for us, even though we may not understand. He also teaches us that we are one human family and we are all in this together. We help when we can, however we can.

  4. I am praying with you Geoff. When I think of all of the natural and man-made disasters in the world...I have to remind myself of Romans 8:28. God bless, Lloyd

  5. Hi Geoff:

I am also praying with you. All these events seems to be more frequent and more intense like labor pain..sound familiar? I feel saddened to see so many people all over the world whose lives will never be the same.

    Blessings,
    Paul

  6. What has happened in Japan has left me devastated. The long term effects of this disaster are going to be horrendous.
    Lloyd,
Thanks friend, I know but it still leaves me feeling sick to the stomach.
    Paul,
Welcome to my blog, thanks for your prayers and yes I do know what you mean.
I saw a picture of little children quietly sitting in their classroom waiting for their parents to come and fetch them after their home town had been completely wiped out and the tears just started flowing. What did these innocent little children ever do to deserve this?

  9. Amen Geoff.

Earthquakes and other world wide disasters sure seem to be on the rise. We are waiting for the "Big One" to hit Los Angeles. The so called experts say we are long over due.

Take care and have a great week :-)
